Pentek ECP5-20 Pleated Water Filters has a Nominal micron rating of 5 micron and is made with special formulation of resin-impregnated cellulose and polyester fibers that offers higher wet strength as compared to regular cellulose cartridges. Moreover, it has high flow rates and dirt holding capacity, and helps in maintaining extremely low pressure drop along with minimal unloading and media migration. Its water filter media is pleated around a polypropylene core for additional strength and the ends are immersed in a thermo-setting vinyl plastisol. Embedding and sealing each end of the pleat block helps in fusing of the components together to form a unitized end cap and gasket. The cartridges contain more media surface area of 12 square feet of media than other cartridges.
